Garden of the Gods

After Seven Falls my mom and I grabbed a bite to eat and then headed over to the Garden of the Gods since it was only minutes from the falls.
Fortunately there is a road through the area that is all one way with pull off areas for you to park and take some photos.  It was quite hot that day and we had already did a bit of walking/climbing at the Falls.
Here are two formations and as you can see they are different colors.  So close but the rock is so very different.  It was just a spectacular day.
See the Big Horn Sheep?  Well the sign tells you they are in the area.  They were there and my mom was so busy watching them that she didn't look at where she was walking and caught the ONLY rut in the entire path.  I turn around and find her laying on the ground.  She completely dropped and severely bruised her chest by falling on her camera.  I insisted she put some of my purell hand sanitizer on her scraped up hands asap since you never know what germs are in the pebbles near the sheep.  When we got back to the car we put a break and freeze pack on her chest and used a wipe on her hands and knees... just scraped and not really bleeding thankfully.
Mom and the camera are fine.  Mom is still sore and has a giant bruise on her chest but can smile about it now.  The trip didn't deter her from continuing to adventure.
Yep, it is all your fault fellas that my momma got hurt.  Naughty sheep.
It was an absolutely beautiful day for our adventure.  We did climb around a little making sure to stay on the trails.
If you are in the area you should definitely go and check it out.  If it wasn't so hot I am sure that we would have walked around more and explored a few of the smaller trails that the area had to offer.
