Re-visit of June Goals

So here are the June Goals, and I am not going to do July goals cause having been off from school for 2 weeks I have already scrubbed the powder room floor grout with a toothbrush and wiped down every surface in the kitchen plus vacuumed like 3 times a week and swiffered too!

June goals:
1. Meal plan for 4 days of the week with a 5th day for left overs.  --We were mostly successful with this one.  A few days were too hot to actually turn the oven on and we went with sandwiches but I really stuck with the plan for this month and loved it.
2.  Get all my Disney stuff for Goofy #10 in a folder/envelope.  --Success!  All that stuff is together and I am ready, just need to find some cheap air fare.
3.  Do something for our 3 year anniversary.  Something simple but something. -- Passed with keeping it simple with a car picnic and dinner at home in sweats.  We keep it classy.
4. Finish Michael's first birthday gift.  --yup.  And I love how it came out.  Post later on what I made for him  and his birthday.

June Goals

1. Meal plan for 4 days of the week with a 5th day for left overs.  This is basically to cover week days.  I am good about planning a meal ahead on a Saturday/Sunday morning for that night but need to know what I am making ahead on the week days or we end up with soup and grilled cheese.
2.  Get all my Disney stuff for Goofy #10 in a folder/envelope.  Well, all my stuff related to my January trip together.  Also, all my other race information in one place, in order for the rest of the year so I can add others in as needed.
3.  Do something for our 3 year anniversary.  Something simple but something.
4. Finish Michael's first birthday gift.  I'm not telling.

That's it.  I've got my running goals in addition to this and those are my primary focus right now so I can have a few amazing races this fall with my hard work this summer.

May Goals Revisited

So I am 2 for 3 on my May goals.  My May goals were:
1.  Follow a weekly cleaning schedule.  I did this  successfully and now that I am in the routine of it I plan to keep up with it.  It makes life so much easier since I am not doing major cleaning all the time just one or two things a day.
2.  Stick to a grocery store list.  I did this surprisingly well.  Even Luke was impressed by this.  I planned out meals for the week roughly and made a list accordingly.  I also tried to use up a bunch of stuff we currently have so a major shopping trip will be necessary in a few weeks to stock back up on some basics (jumbo boxes of cereal and club packs of chicken to freeze).
3.  Blog 2x a week.  Major fail on this one.  I am trying to get better but I just don't find much of what happens around here to be that exciting.  Maybe once the school year ends and with summer I will think about those little projects and get better at taking photos of things we do.

May Goals

I didn't have goals for April and that meant that I got kind of lazy around the house in some regards.  So I decided that I need to make some goals for May.  Although I have a lot of goals for a variety of things I am going to stick with just 3 things for around the house and for me.  I am picking ones that are attainable and also will push me to get stuff done.

May Goals:

1.)  Follow a weekly cleaning schedule.  I set one up but have been kind of lazy on a few of the items.  My schedule is Sunday to iron clothes for the week (aka 5 shirts for school if needed).  Clean kitchen. (wipe counters and such is daily but to actually scrub the burners and such). Monday change cat litter and dust (lazy duster here), Tuesday clean bathrooms (usually good about this), Wednesday dust downstairs (lazy), Thursday vacuum (ugh, can the cat just be shaved), Friday clean bathrooms (usually just do our master bath), Saturday outside yard work (fail weather) and change bed linen (usually happens but if not it does on Sunday).

2.  Make a grocery store list and stick to it!  I am pretty good at this but Luke is on a major financial kick lately and wants to see if we can spend less on groceries.  See if I can keep it to under $300 for the month.  Probably can happen as long as I don't have to buy a jumbo pack of TP or something like that for everyday use that we run out of.

3.  Blog at least 2x a week.  I guess I have to find something to post about and be better at photo documenting stuff.
Notice the Mickey's in the background on the computer?  Those are countdowns to various things---one being Goofy #10.  Cinder is like, "you're leaving me again."
